West Bromwich Albion and The Albion Foundation will unite once again for Foundation Day 2026, which will take place at The Hawthorns on Saturday 14th March, when Albion host Hull City.
This year’s occasion will shine a light on the Cancer Kickers Programme, celebrating its impact and raising awareness of cancer, early intervention, and the power of staying active throughout treatment and recovery.
Cancer affects 1 in 2 of us in our lifetime. Early detection saves lives, and staying active during and after treatment can play a vital role in recovery - physically and mentally. Through the Cancer Kickers programme, we provide safe, supportive sessions that help participants regain strength, improve wellbeing and reconnect with others who understand their experience.
To help raise awareness and vital funds, former Albion favourite, Andy Johnson, will be having his head shaved live in the Fanzone before kick-off, in partnership with BarberBoss. Supporters are encouraged to gather, cheer him on and donate. This is a personal challenge for AJ and a cause close to his heart, with his friend currently undergoing cancer treatment.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a huge difference. Please support Andy's brave challenge and help us continue changing lives through programmes such as Cancer Kickers.
Together, we can tackle cancer - one step, one session, and one show of support at a time.
